Strategies
- Acting
upon the operating principles NBMBAA will
focus on achieving the following objectives:
- Attract,
develop and retain members of the highest
integrity and competence at all levels of the
organization; maximize participation of the
membership.
- Emphasize
professional skills development of the
membership via local and national programming.
- Develop
and maintain strong ties with corporations to
garner, retain and expand their support.
- Develop a
close working partnership with Black
businesses and community organizations to
implement programs advancing overall economic
development of the Black community.
- Increase
focus and extend programs to students,
encouraging and motivating them towards
careers in business.
Operating
Principles
The operating principles of NBMBAA are to:
- Support
the National Organizations efforts to:
Establish and maintain an effective
nationwide information and communication
network; enhance the membership's
professional and career development goals and
link Black business professionals.
- Provide
continuing business education as a means for
improving and maintaining the technical
business skills and social awareness of the
Black business person.
- Encourage
Black individuals to pursue business
education.
- Develop
and implement programs to:
- Assist
students and new employees in a
smooth entry into their career paths.
- Assist
employers in retaining Black
professionals
- Assist
Black professionals in progressing
along their chosen career paths.
- Expand,
facilitate, direct, and participate in the
economic development of the Black community.
- Provide
direction to the Black community by issuing
opinions, establishing positions,
recommending viable solutions and
implementing solutions to improve the
economic infrastructure of the Black
community.
- Develop,
document and archive information that will
allow the organization to become the premier
information source on Black business related
issues within the global business arena.
- Leverage
our relationship within the Black community,
corporations, and government to benefit the
Black community
